Bangladesh is largest trading Partner of India in South Asia. India share its international land border with Bangladesh. The north east Indian state Mizoram also share its international boundaries with B/D the trading with B/D through Mizoram border.
Land Port in brief in Mizoram with Bangladesh:
- Demagiri/ Tegamukh Land Port
Indian side: Demagiri,Mizoram
Bangladesh side: Tegamukh, Barkal, Rangamati.
Operator: Land Port Authority of India
Land Area: Acquisition of land is under process.
Infrastructure: step will be taken to develop infrastructure after completing all necessary formalities with regard to land acquisition.
Current Status: The LC station has just been declared as land port. The export & Import activities are halted by Custom authority since long . Step is taken to lift the ban on Export & Import through this port.
